Devotional Societies

The life of the parish has long been enriched by the activity of the catholic devotional societies.  The following societies are currently active at St. Barnabas:

Confraternity of the Blessed Sacrament

 

This society sponsors Evensong and Benediction on the 3rd Sunday of each month at 5:30.  It also sponsors the all-night Maundy Thursday vigil.  For more information, contact Fr. Scheiblhofer.

Guild of All Souls

 

This guild sponsors the annual All Souls day Mass and offers a monthly Requiem mass at 12:10 on Fridays.  For more information, contact Fr. Scheiblhofer.

 

Order of the Daughters of the King

 

This very active society of the women of the parish holds a monthly organizational meeting and organizes its members to serve the parish in many ways.  For more information, contact  Norma Morehouse

Society of King Charles the Martyr

 

This society sponsors an annual Mass to commemorate the martyrdom of King Charles I of England-- the only person proclaimed a saint by the Anglican Communion since the reformation.  For information, contact Ward secretary Nick Behrens

Society of Mary

 

This society meets on the first Saturday of the month for Mass and Rosary.  This society also co-sponsors the masses held on each of the Marian holy days.  For more information, contact Fr. Scheiblhofer. 

Anglican Devotional Society

 

The Anglican Devotional Society is an organization of committed Anglicans devoted to the study and furtherance of traditional faith, liturgy and personal devotion.  Contact Sean Reed at anglican@cox.net

Anglican Breviary Group

 

This is an organization of individuals committed to and interested in praying the Divine Office as contained in The Anglican Breviary.  It meets on the first Thursday of the month.  Contact Sean Reed at anglican@cox.net
